Walt Disney Imagineering wanted a Naturally Durable™ post free from toxic chemicals that would last a very long time in the ground. Naturally Durable, Inc. used eight different lesser-known, Naturally Durable™ species for the posts. We made an emphatic decision to have most of the work creating the posts done in Brazil to maximize the economic benefit to the forest products producer. Work that was done in the USA took advantage of a final quality control option, and utilized some high tech wrapping unavailable in Brazil. The posts were lightly finished to harmonize the colors without loosing the distinctions of the different species. Everybody loved the end product. These twigs were really gathered in the wild from an FSC Certified well-managed forest along the Amazon River.
